St. Paul's Catacombs, Rabat
A stop along our way from Valetta to St. Paul's Bay.  Ancient quarry used as burial chambers by the Phoenicians and the Romans.  Some of the world's earliest Christian archeology has been found here as well.

Gozo (Second biggest island in the Maltese archipelago.)
A ferry ride to the island of Gozo, the second largest island in the Maltese archipelago.  Sea views near the harbor, followed by a visit to the town of Xaghra, and Ggantija, a megalithic temple structure that dates back 5,600 years (earlier than either the pyramids or Stonehenge.)  Followed by a visit to the hilltop fortress, the Citadel.  Current structure dates to the 16th Century, but there is evidence of human settlements from pre-historic times.
